The sheep
Connemara is a land of sheep farmers. We have many differents rustic and crossed breeds on the Island. The sheep live outdoor all year and are very well treated. They eat very good grass full of vitamines and minerals all year long, give birth in the fields and the mountains and are checked regularely for their health and wellfare.
We’re lucky to have a variety of sheep breeds, both hardy and crossbred. I select the fleeces and wool I’m interested in together with the shearer and the famers, which allows me to build a very diverse stock with a range of colors and fiber lengths.
